Your Food:

 Fact, Fiction, Additives, and Addictions

(Part 1, Segment 1)

by Michelle M Pearson

The first segment in a series, join us as we look at the stealthily quiet but emergent industry know as Food Science. Is there a difference in the commercially prepared food of today versus the restaurant food, say, of sixty years ago? What decisions go into which foods appear on restaurant menus? How are those dishes prepared and why do they seem to taste better than what is made at home?

Why do folks consume so much food and why do so many feel they just can’t control it? Are “food designers” and “food engineers” really targeting your hormones? Or, how about the number of ingredients found in a plain grilled chicken breast? One? Two? Think again and tune in for that as well.

Join us as we examine the very real science and research that studies you – your body, your chemistry, and your choices – in order to make products more appealing, more appetizing, and yes, more addicting.  It’s going to be a real eye-opener about health, healthy foods, junk food, as well as a word or two about how fear and faith relate to Your Food!

Here is Part One – as we talk about using knowledge skillfully… to your health! And be sure to stay tuned for our next segment, when we will dive into the industry’s “double dipping” practices, using additives, as well as the effect of sugar, salt, and fat on your body’s chemical balance.

Michelle's mission is to educate, activate, challenge and equip others to live a full, satisfying life, ever growing in the Kingdom of God.

Michelle is a mountain-taker in all expressions of her calling. Sometimes it is on literal mountains leading ladies on spiritual adventures in faith. Other days, it is consulting with Kingdom-minded businesses and ministries to develop professional website platforms and social media strategies. Still other times, you will find her training mountain-takers to possess their physical land - their health, spirit, soul, and body - teaching classes and doing wellness evaluations for churches and corporations large and small, as well as providing "secret service" concierge wellness services for other speakers and ministers.

Wherever the call of God takes her, she firmly believes it is time for Christian businesses, entrepreneurs, and ministry leaders to be diligent to ‘write the vision and post it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may be able to read it easily and quickly as they hasten by.’ And then ACT on the vision.
