It’s never been a secret. . . adventures in faith are our special calling!

Today is a bit of a different blog to write. It is about the adventures of faith, but today we aren’t launching an expedition or planning a wellness webinar. (But those are right around the corner!) Today, I simply want to share some updates to our About Us story with our wonderful readers, partners, and friends.

For 21 years, Doc and I have been living one adventure of faith after another. We have been full-time global health advocates, traveling since 1998 to educate, activate, challenge and equip others to live a lifestyle of complete health. We had the honor of ministering and teaching in seminars, corporate training sessions, executive and team-building settings, clinics, churches, and retreats.

Along the way, we became tagged as the Dynamic Duo of Health and Healing because of our joint passion to educate, motivate, and minister the Word of God. Far from the typical travel ministry team, our role became like the connective tissue in the Body, bridging the gap between ministry and marketplace, between church and clinical practice, between media, ministry, and medicine.

God has given us wonderful years serving Him together across the miles and platforms, cultures and countries; but now, our season of serving is changing and we find ourselves on yet another adventure of faith!

I write today to share with you that Dr. Ray has now fully retired from ministry and from clinical practice, handing the legacy off to me and our generations who follow. Now it’s his time to harvest from years of sowing and serving; it’s his time to reap honor and be served well with much love. As for me, my privilege to love, honor, and serve Doc in this season is proving to be the greatest honor God has ever given me.

Prayer walk pikes peak barr trail 2015

Over 700 hours of prayer for the nations, our nation, and for Israel.

By my Doc’s side, I have learned, leaned, and loved beyond my ability to imagine possible. The Lord and my Doc have nurtured me and now they nudge me even further to continue walking into the call of God on my life. While this season of change brings new steps on higher, more difficult peaks (and lower heels), I know in my spirit that the vision and mission must continue even if the mechanisms of delivery change.

Over the past year, we sensed God’s leading to transition from travel ministry to more technology and media based outreaches. (You may have seen our announcement earlier in the year about the internet broadcasting studio.) So, when I am not leading ladies on leadership expeditions, I am happily a “media missionary”, designing websites, providing IT services, and managing social media for other speakers and ministries. This lets me be near Doc, remain in ministry, help expand other ministries, and fund all our discipleship and service projects!

Transparently, in what I see as bittersweet times of change, my goal is to face these new adventures of faith, with grace and strength, walking our path against the backdrops of the mountains and His majesty, living courageously and loving extravagantly those along the way.

Because it’s what we do. And what I will, by the great grace of God, continue to do to honor God, and my Doc. The vision remains as bright as ever, to see hope and health, passion, plans, and Kingdom purpose revealed in the life of every person and family that our family might be privileged to serve.

Doc and I both thank you for sharing life, love, and leaning on Him with us. Keep a look out for those coming adventures and expeditions because. . .

I’ll see you on the mountain tops, or from them if you snooze!

Update 11/28/15: On November 16, 2015 at 3:15am, my beloved Doc got a promotion and departed this body for heaven. Thankfully, he did not suffer the jaws of death, no heart attack, no difibulator, no struggle, he simply left like a hand exiting a glove, free and peacefully… he was full of joy and he’s got the victory now! <3 I love you forever my sweetheart, I will see you again before long, when my work is done.
