Out of the Mouth of Babes
I began this with a Facebook post and these first three scriptures on my heart this morning ~ reflecting on detoxing and getting healthier in ALL ways. As I meditated on God’s Word, it blossomed into more, so I moved over to the blog post to record the “conversation”. I thought you might be enriched with His thoughts this morning as well, so here is some Selah (stop and think on that) Scripture for this Saturday morning…
PROGRESS POINT: Start with what is coming out of your mouth first, then you will choose easily and rightly what goes in. All things are permissible, not all things are beneficial ~ both in going in or coming out of the mouth.
(from the Amplified ~ Selah 😀 )
Matthew 15:11 ~ It is not what goes into the mouth of a man that makes him unclean and defiled, but what comes out of the mouth; this makes a man unclean and defiles him.
Matthew 15:18 ~ But whatever comes out of the mouth comes from the heart, and this is what makes a man unclean and defiles him.
Proverbs 15:28 ~ The mind of the [uncompromisingly] righteous studies how to answer, but the mouth of the wicked pours out evil things.
Psalm 8:2 (GW) Out of the mouth of babes – From the mouths of little children and infants, you have built a fortress against your opponents to silence the enemy and the avenger.
Luke 6:45 A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.
You can do it. Complete health comes from filling your heart and mouth with good things from God. I leave you with this today as we fill ourselves with the goodness of God today, from Psalm 103:5 in “The Voice” translation:
When your soul is famished and withering,
He fills you with good and beautiful things, satisfying you as long as you live.
He makes you strong like an eagle, restoring your youth.
